Executive members of the Couva/Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce met yesterday with the Ambassador of Türkiye (Turkey) to discuss potential business and trade opportunities.

Her Excellency Bengü Yiğitgüden and her delegation discussed the prospect of exporting local products such as pepper sauce and agricultural products like cocoa and coconut.

According to the Chamber, T&T currently exports asphalt and Liquefied Natural Gas to Türkiye.

It is also hopeful that lucrative links can be created between both countries to share knowledge, build capacity and trade quality goods at competitive prices.

Both parties are positive that the meeting can result in a trade mission in the future.
