A couple is now in custody after police recovered a stolen vehicle in Cunupia.
Around 2pm yesterday, a man received a call that two persons were pushing his Blue Mitsubishi vehicle outside of his home at Wendy Fitzwilliams Boulevard, Diego Martin.
He later found the vehicle missing, along with one Miller Welding Plant valued at $3,000.
The vehicle was subsequently recovered during an exercise in the Cunupia District during which time the 39-year-old man and his 29-year-old girlfriend were arrested.
Meanwhile, the hunt continues for two suspects after the police recovered a stolen car and cellphone shortly after a robbery in Trincity yesterday.
Around 10:30pm, a man was confronted by bandits while opening the front gate to his home in Casselton Gardens.
They took his Honda City vehicle and a Samsung cell phone.
About an hour later, around 11:33pm, officers on mobile patrol, spotted the vehicle parked on Bushe Street in San Juan.
The cellphone meanwhile was tracked to a location in Dinsley Village, Tacarigua, where it was also retrieved.
