PLEASE reconsider the use of traditional fireworks that generate loud and disruptive noise during celebrations.

While fireworks are a cherished part of many cultural and festive events, we cannot overlook the adverse impact of their noise on communities, animals, and individuals with sensory sensitivities.

The joyous spectacle of fireworks can undoubtedly enhance celebrations, but the thunderous explosions and sharp cracks associated with traditional pyrotechnics can cause distress to pets, wildlife, and people. It is disheartening to witness the anxiety and fear experienced by animals during fireworks displays, not to mention the impact on individuals with conditions like PTSD, autism, or other sensory sensitivities.

I propose a shift towards noiseless fireworks as a more considerate and community- friendly alternative. Noiseless fireworks, also known as silent or low-decibel fireworks, maintain stunning visual effects without the accompanying loud sounds that disturb the peace. This transition would allow communities to continue enjoying the tradition of fireworks while mitigating the negative impact on those adversely affected by the noise.

Several cities around the world have already taken steps to implement noise restrictions or adopt noiseless fireworks displays to create a more inclusive and harmonious environment during celebrations. These measures not only contribute to the well-being of individuals and animals but also demonstrate a commitment to responsible and sustainable community practices.

As we embrace a more compassionate and environmentally conscious approach to our festivities, I urge our community leaders to consider the adoption of noiseless fireworks in place of traditional ones. By making this shift, we can ensure that our celebrations are enjoyable for everyone, fostering a sense of unity and consideration for our fellow community members.
