Concept trailer released for anime project ‘Jamaica No Duppy’

A concept trailer has been released for an anime project called ‘Jamaica No Duppy: Rise of the Conqueror’.

The show is the brainchild of St Vincent and the Grenadines-born film director Tolga Akcayli, who says funding is needed to complete full production.

He’s set up a Go Fund Me to help raise money.

The brilliantly animated trailer takes persons into the heart of Jamaica, showcasing the country’s culture, while also incorporating supernatural elements that are unique to the country.

It’s about a Samurai who finds himself stranded in Jamaica.

As the title suggests, the show also features duppies or Jamaican spirits, and their interaction with the living world.
