Coach Education needed for WI Cricket

Congratulations to Mr. Azim Bassarath being re-elected as vice president of CWI. Sir, I may, but one of the ways to improve the performance of cricket in the region is coach education. The TTFA currently has an excellent coach education program for coaches at all levels, so that for sport, they all share the same vision and deliver the training to their players to various academies and clubs all across Trinidad and Tobago. Could CWI and by extension the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board lead the way by launching a cricket coach education program?

This is so that coaches in TT can now be certified and qualified by a recognised governing body, regularly audited and improved to help raise the talent pool for boys and girls cricket. This is also quite a lucrative opportunity for the TTCB and CWI to have a constant source of income and extend an olive branch to every nook and cranny of the West Indies.

Also, we have numerous academies that can be certified by the TTCB, another source of income but a way of unifying the sport, not controlling it and bossing clubs around, but extending that unified vision, cricket education and establishing a higher quality human resource for emerging talent to join the sport and do great things for West Indies Cricket.

Please President Bassarath, consider this endeavour as our Cricket desperately needs it.
