Civilians are continuing to flee northern Gaza after an Israeli warning that they should move south.
About 1.1 million people living in northern areas have been told to leave ahead of an expected ground offensive by Israeli forces.
BBC News says the UN described the order as horrendous, while the US is reportedly urged Israel to take every precaution to avoid killing civilians
Meanwhile, according to Al Jazeera, Hamas officials say 70 people were killed in Israeli air strikes on convoys fleeing Gaza City.
There has been no immediate response from Israel on the claim.
The World Health Organization has reportedly warned that Israel’s evacuation order for Gaza amounts to a “death sentence” for vulnerable hospital patients, with WHO Head Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus urging for a reversal of the decision.
More than 1,500 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched retaliatory air strikes.
Meanwhile, Hamas fighters have killed 1,300 people in Israel and kidnapped at least 150 more.
