Chris Must List to appear in court next week

Canadian YouTuber Christopher Hughes, better known as Chris Must List, is expected to appear in court next week.

This, after he was charged with Publishing a Statement with a Seditious Intention.

The TTPS says the investigation into Mr Hughes began after his social media activities, which included videos “featuring individuals professing to be gang members, advocating criminal activities, and using threatening language.”

It adds that after consultation with DPP Roger Gaspard SC, detectives were directed to charge the Canadian under Section 4(1)(c) of the Sedition Act.

The investigations were coordinated by DCP Suzette Martin and spearheaded by Snr Supt Paponette, with the assistance of Insp Stanley and a team of detectives from the SIU, Cyber Crime Unit, and RAU, under the legal direction of Attorney at Law/Legal Officer Cpl Zaheer Ali.
