Chile has donated US$60,000 to 3 Caribbean countries that were severely impacted by Hurricane Beryl in July.
According to NOW Grenada, the donation, provided by the Chile Fund against Hunger and Poverty, will be channelled through the Red Cross to Jamaica, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada.
The Chile Fund is an initiative of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is managed through the Chilean Agency for Cooperation and Development, in conjunction with the United Nations Development Programme/Chile.
It has provided humanitarian assistance to countries affected by various disasters since 2011.
