The Children’s Authority is investigating alleged abuse by a minor against other minors at a children’s home in Central Trinidad.

According to media reports, at least 11 children at the home reported being molested, physically harmed or threatened by a 12-year-old.

The Authority, in a media release, says it is now working closely with the TTPS on the matter.

Furthermore, it notes that it has provided support and medical care to the minor and has taken steps to safeguard the other children involved.

The Authority adds that while it is thoroughly investigating, it will not divulge any details of the case to maintain the confidentiality of the children’s personal details.
