All charges against the seven officers previously discharged in a case of Misbehaviour in Public Office have been re-laid.
These officers are now expected to reappear in court to face the charges.
The case was initially dismissed on November 18th 2024, due to procedural issues.
The TTPS says following discussions with the Office of the DPP,it received advice to re-lay charges against the accused officers.
Police Commissioner Erla Harewood- Christopher said, “The re-laying of these charges demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that justice is served. The TTPS will continue to work closely with the office of the DPP to ensure the proper determination of these matters.”
