Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a 59-year-old man, who was found hacked to death in his Chaguanas home.
According to a Guardian Newspaper report, police believe the motive was robbery.
It noted that the victim’s throat was slit and when found his feet were bound and there were injuries to his head.
The discovery was made by a neighbor, a policeman, who was alerted to a loud noise coming from the victim’s home.
The suspect, a 21 year old man of Spanish descent, was found stooping in a dark area under a tree in the yard.
