Celebrations held to mark India’s Independence Day

Celebrations were held at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Cultural Co-operation today to commemorate India’s Independence Day.

Hosted by the High Commission of India, the event was attended by a number of persons from the Indian Diaspora and featured a variety of cultural performances.

High Commissioner Dr. Pradeep Rajpurohit also read out a message from India’s President to mark the occasion.

India’s Independence Day was also celebrated in Grenada, with a programme at Tempe Playing Field.
