Carnival 2025 deemed “a resounding success”

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture & the Arts has deemed Carnival 2025 “a resounding success”, saying it generated seismic economic activity.

In a statement, it says this year’s event provided crucial income opportunities across multiple sectors, from local artisans and performers, to hospitality and event management.

It also says despite initial concerns about visitor arrivals, the “overwhelming turnout” demonstrated the strength of T&T’s heritage and “the power of the Carnival brand”.

It says preliminary arrival data from the Immigration Division shows 41,022 air arrivals and a total of 13,926 cruise arrivals for the Carnival period, which spanned from February 14th to March 4th.

The Ministry says info from Tourism Trinidad Limited estimates that visitor spend during the period was just over TT $668 million.
