A 41-year-old businesswoman was granted $175,000 bail after appearing in court charged with Fraudulent Conversion in the sum of $143,000.

Between March and July 2021, a woman allegedly made multiple payments totalling $143,000 for the purchase of a Roll-on Roll-off Honda Vezel R.S Hybrid vehicle.

The vehicle was due to be delivered within two weeks of the full payment, however, the businesswoman failed to deliver.

Attempts to retrieve the money also proved futile.

Following an investigation, the charge was laid against Terkessa Brereton-Duncan.

She will next appear in court on February 20th 2025.
