Boy with Trini heritage does seafood in MasterChef Junior finale, part one

Persons will have to wait until next week Monday to find out if an 11-year-old with T&T roots can win the coveted title of MasterChef Junior.

Michael Seegobin is one of three finalists competing in the show which broadcast part one of its finale last night.

According to a report shared by MSN, finalists have been tasked with making a full three-course meal including an appetizer, an entree and a dessert.

Michael focused on fresh seafood, serving up Crab Bisque with Stone Crab Salad, herb oil, croutons and caviar, before attempting to cook halibut for his entree.

Viewers will now have to wait until May 20th to see how the finale ends.

Michael’s father, Lieutenant Deen Seegobin, is from Trinidad and currently works with Marion County Fire Rescue in Florida.

Michael has credited his father for being his inspiration to start cooking.
