An event has been launched which will see schools build and race Box Carts.

According to the organizers, the Gravity Racing Association of T&T, the Box Cart InterCol aims to use the old school tradition of box cart racing to excite young people about STREAM – Science, Research, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.

A launch was held last Friday at UWI for the InterCol which the Association says has been endorsed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Sport and Community Development.

Participating schools have roughly four months to submit a portfolio and build their carts.

The event will culminate on race day – January 13th, 2024.
