“Blue Beetle” is officially joining the list of movies in the DC Extended Universe with its premiere in theaters across the US and the world.

The movie stars Xolo Maridueña who is best known for his starring role in the hit show “Cobra Kai”.

He stars as Jaime Reyes, who is chosen to become a symbiotic host to an ancient alien biotechnological relic known as the Scarab.

The lead up to the film’s release has been muted, due primarily to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

According to reports, while a premiere was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on August 15th 2023, the cast of the film did not attend.

The film will hit US theaters tomorrow, August 18th.

Persons in T&T can see it from today… it’s listed as being released on August 17th at local cinemas including MovieTowne, Caribbean Cinemas and IMAX.

“Blue Beetle” also stars Adriana Barraza, Damián Alcázar, Raoul Max Trujillo, Susan Sarandon, and George Lopez.
