The Blind Welfare Association is calling for more a universal design to cater for the wider community of the disabled and differently abled population.
Speaking with 103.1FM News, Executive Officer Kenneth Suratt commended the Ministry of the People for their move of greater accessibility for the differently abled.
However, he says that different disabilities require different accessibility needs and outlines what could be beneficial to the visually impaired community.
Mr Suratt is also urging persons who design products to consider how their items could benefit and impact those within society who are differently abled, including the hearing impaired and elderly.
