The Attorney General’s office says the service to issue Birth Certificates should resume tomorrow, September 5th.
In a brief notice, it says processes to facilitate the full restoration of this service are being finalized.
It is expected to resume at the Arima, Port of Spain and San Fernando Registrar General’s offices.
No reason for the disruption in service was given.
Last week, Mayaro MP Rushton Paray alleged that polymer birth certificates had been unavailable for a month, hampering crucial activities such as visa applications.
