Biche residents staged a demonstration this morning to protest the state of the Cunapo Southern Main Road.

The road is the main route in and out of the community.

The residents say it has become so deteriorated, that most vehicles cannot pass and are instead forced to use alternative routes that are longer and only marginally better.

When contacted, Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan reminded that there is a programme to deal with road works.

He adds that they will look to address all issues and ensure that connectivity is maintained.
