A  Belmont man was denied bail when he appeared in court charged with the murder of 24-year-old Tafawa Roberts.

24-year-old Samuel Alexander was also charged with wounding with intent, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

He is expected to re-appear on November 10th 2025.

Roberts was one of two wounded when a gunman opened fire on a group of persons liming along Serraneau Road, Belmont on September 27th 2024.

He died a week later on October 4th 2024.
