A man shown in a video using a gun has appeared in court charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

The video shows persons using a firearm in a forested area in April 2023.

The TTPS says checks of the area resulted in the discovery of eight shell casings, with the suspect eventually held this month following “painstaking investigations”.

It says a subsequent search of his home also resulted in items of evidential value being found and seized.

Deshon Reuben of Tunapuna was granted $150,000 bail when he appeared before a Master of the High Court yesterday.

As part of his bail conditions, he is to report to the Tunapuna Police Station twice a week between 6am and 6pm.

The matter was also adjourned to February 19th 2025.
