A man has been arrested after police seized 44 fully grown marijuana trees and 40 seedlings in Avocat.

Police say they went to a home at St John Road yesterday to execute a warrant for dangerous drugs and reportedly found a man watering cannabis plants.

The suspect was arrested and the narcotics, with an estimated street value of $44,000, were seized.

Meanwhile, in Siparia, officers went to Lily Trace and conducted a search at the home of a woman.

They allegedly found six clear packets of cocaine with an estimated street value of $5,500.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Siparia CID to be charged.
