A signing ceremony has taken place which aims to allow for the best possible care and protection to children, including victims of trafficking.

The “Victims of Trafficking Process Manual” is for the Counter Trafficking Unit, the T&T Police Service, the Children’s Authority of T&T and the Immigration Division.

Children’s Authority CEO Sheldon Cyrus says the manual clarifies the pathway for victims of trafficking and unaccompanied migrant children to receive the support and intervention they require.

The manual was developed through a series of consultations and provides a framework for a coordinated, inter-agency response.
