Australia have taken the upper hand on Day 1 of the final Ashes Test after bowling England out for 283 and scoring 61/1 before the day’s end.

Mitchell Starc took 4/82 while England’s Harry Brook top scored with 85 runs.

Australia have already retained the Ashes Trophy, after preventing England from winning the series outright, but the outcome of this match will determine who takes that honour.
