ASJA has joined in the condemnation of the desecration of the Bharatiya Vidya Abhyas Mandali at Watts Street in Curepe.

Devotees of the mandir yesterday found murtis destroyed and jhandis toppled.

In a statement, ASJA says such acts have no place in a diverse and harmonious society, built on the principles of respect, tolerance and coexistence.

It is appealing to the perpetrators of the vandalism to cease and desist from any further attempts to defile religious buildings in T&T.
