In a few days, government will welcome Ghana’s Monarch of the Ashanti Kingdom.

His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will be visiting T&T from July 30th to August 5th.

He will be the guest of honour at Emancipation Celebrations hosted by the Tourism Ministry and the Emancipation Support Committee.

In March 2020 during his visit to Ghana, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley extended an invitation to the Monarch.

His Majesty believes Ghana can learn more about gas development and engineering from T&T.

He also wants to establish an Ashanti village in this country and form of linkages between the Caribbean and Ghana.
