A 23-year-old man of Railway Road Extension in Arouca has been arrested for gun possession.

Around 1:20am on Sunday, police were on mobile patrol along Thomas Trace, Arouca, when they stopped near an abandon structure and saw three men running away.

Officers gave chase and two of the men escaped, jumping over a gate, while a third was apprehended.

He was allegedly found in possession of a Taurus pistol fitted with a magazine with eight rounds of ammunition.
