The Arima sub-office and District Registrar of the Registrar General’s Department is closed today following an act of violence.

According to the Office of the Attorney General, a member of the public attacked a customer service representative yesterday, causing physical harm and infrastructural damage.

It adds that there was no known motive at the time, but the perpetrator has been apprehended, and police are investigating.

For today, the public can use the Mt Hope or Sangre Grande District Registrar, the Port of Spain Head Office or the San Fernando sub-office, and online via agla.gov.tt.
