Wednesday April 10th 2024 has been declared a public holiday in recognition of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The declaration was made by President Christine Carla Kangaloo on the advice of the Cabinet, and in accordance with the Public Holidays and Festivals Act.
Eid-ul-Fitr begins at sunset on the night of the first sighting of the crescent moon and marks the end of fasting for the holy month of Ramadan.
