Antigua and Barbuda will pilot a new initiative for stronger, longer lasting roads.
The Antigua Newsroom reported that plans to introduce geocell technology are being formalized by the Works Ministry and the Environment Department, who are preparing to test the product.
Geocells are a type of 3D honeycomb-like structure made from high-density polyethylene which expanded on-site to form a flexible, interlocking grid, then filled with concrete.
This then increases the bearing capacity and stability of the material inside.
