Another call has been made for the late Anil Bheem to be honoured with one of the country’s national awards.

Bheem passed away on February 4th, 2023 and, following his death, there have been suggestions that he be awarded for his contributions to culture through his music and Catch the Rhythms on 103.1FM.

Last night at the NCIC Nagar, UNC Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar spoke on her commitment to culture, such as seeing Ramleela and Divali marketed globally as tourism attractions with the NCIC’s help.

She then turned attention to The Vocalist.

Mrs Persad-Bissessar initially called for Bheem to be honoured with a national award while speaking at his funeral on February 9th.
