As the battle against mosquito infestations and dengue fever continues in T&T, another Opposition MP is calling on the Government to increase funding immediately.
Fyzabad MP Dr. Lackram Bodoe says the situation is worrisome and the surge in cases has created fear, anxiety and alarm amongst the population, especially with two recently reported dengue deaths.
He says its equally important for citizens to take precautionary measure, as well as for the Ministry of Health to increase its spraying exercises.
The MP notes that a lack of vehicles for the Insect Vector Control Division in the St. Patrick area is overwhelming the staff at the Siparia Corporation.
And, he adds, the IVC Department at the Ministry has its own share of issues that could be remedied to help the dengue fight.
