Animal Welfare Network to host fundraising art exhibition

In a bid to help fund its work, the Animal Welfare Network will be hosting an art exhibition on November 4th, 2023.

AWN has been in operation for 23 years providing a range of services including stray animal rescue and rehabilitation, a low-income $300 spay/neuter clinic for certain mixed-breed animals and a primary school animal welfare education programme.

103.1FM News spoke with Sara Maynard, AWN Founding Member and TTSPCA Operations Manager.

She explained that support in funding and other areas are critical to AWN keeping up with the demand for such services.

The exhibition is being spearheaded by Yasmin Hadeed (Gallery director) and Roberta Stoddart (Artist), in collaboration with AWN.

It takes place on November 4th from 10am to 4pm at Y Art Gallery in Woodbrook – a space donated by Ms. Hadeed.

Art donated from renowned T&T artists will be for sale, with the proceeds benefiting the Animal Welfare Network.

Artists who have donated towards the AWN fundraising art exhibition include Roberta Stoddart, Abigail Hadeed, Ashraph, Che Lovelace, Jackie Hinkson, Paul Kain, Wendy Nanan, Dean Arlen, Peter Sheppard, Rachael Ross, Bunty O’Connor, Richard Hubbard, Hannah, Susan Dayal, Janice Derrick, Horacio Hospedales, Shalini, Kenwyn Crichlow, Shastri Maharaj, Edward Bowen and Barbara Jardine.
