AMCHAM T&T CEO Nirad Tiwarie says there is great potential for a public-private partnership to accelerate national development.

His comments came during its meeting with Planning Minister Kennedy Swaratsingh.

Yesterday’s discussions focused on the Government’s strategy for economic transformation and the facilitation of private sector investment.

Talks included the reconstitution of the Economic Development Advisory Board and Competitiveness Council, the passage of legislation to operationalize the National Statistical Institute, new growth sectors, and carbon credits.
