All beaches and beach facilities in Tobago reopen today following a shark attack at Turtle Beach last week.

When the incident occurred, all beaches at the western end of Tobago were immediately closed.

In an update today, the Office of the THA Chief Secretary, says the victim, Peter Smith, has been treated at the Scarborough hospital and airlifted to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

It notes that the Tobago Emergency Management Agency has been meeting with stakeholders to refine the Tobago Marine Safety Plan.
