The Opening Ceremony for the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games takes place at 2pm today.

T&T has one athlete competing in these Games.

Akeem Stewart will take part in the Men’s Discus Throw F64 event at the iconic Stade de France next Thursday from 1:04pm TT time.

He is already a two-time Paralympic medallist, having won gold in the men’s javelin throw F44 event and silver in the men’s discus throw F44 event at the 2016 Games in Rio, Brazil.

The 2024 Summer Paralympic Games run from August 28th to September 8th 2024.
