T&T’s sprinter, Leah Bertrand, booked her spot in the Women’s 100m semifinals at the 2024 Olympic Games when she finished third in her heat to secure automatic qualification into the next round!
Running out of lane 4 in heat 6, Leah clocked a time of 11.27 seconds in the 100m dash, finishing behind USA’s Twanisha Terry (11.15s) and Jamaican, Shashalee Forbes (11.19s)
T&T’s veteran, Michelle-Lee Ahye, suffered a different fate as she narrowly missed out on the semis when she placed fourth in her heat 2 race earlier today.
Tomorrow, the women’s 100m semifinals is carded to start from 1:50pm T&T time.
Also tomorrow, T&T sprinters will compete in the Men’s 100 meter heat at 5:35am.
