Over $3 million in agro-incentive grants have been distributed to 31 farmers, according to the Agriculture Ministry.

The Ministry says the grants, given out yesterday, form part of cycle seven of the Agricultural Finance Support Programme.

It adds that the grants were given to recipients from across the agriculture sector, including small-scale farmers and larger agribusinesses.

The money is expected to be used for innovative projects like state-of-the-art irrigation systems, hydroponics, solar panels, shade houses and improvements to farms to meet Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards.
