A multi-agency law enforcement approach will be implemented to ensure a safe and successful 2025 Carnival.

At the TTPS briefing this morning, Acting Police Commissioner Junior Benjamin said the Service will partner with various arms of the Defense Force, Municipal Police, Traffic Wardens and private security firms.

Meanwhile the Acting Top CoP highlighted a decline in homicides, with 59 recorded so far this year, compared to 86 for the same period in 2024 and 103 in 2023.

Speaking on the matter of the missing Coast Guard officer who disappeared last week during a maritime exercise, Mr Benjamin said he has not been updated by the TTCG.
