Accused in little Amarah’s murder sent for mental health evaluation

The man accused of brutally murdering 4-year-old Amarah Lallite has been sent to the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

39-year-old Inshan Constant appeared virtually before High Court Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami today.

According to reports, he was initially bareback, after allegedly covering himself in faeces just before his appearance.

The hearing was paused to allow him to be dressed, after which the order was given for the evaluation.

He is expected to reappear before the court on May 1st.

Constant was held on April 9th after police found the decapitated body of little Amarah at a house in Five Rivers, Arouca.
