The faces of several top Chutney Soca artistes were recently featured on the iconic Times Square billboard in New York City.

The image shown on July 30th was the flyer for an upcoming event from Trini-born promoter, NSinghPro.

For him, the historic moment was more than just a marketing triumph, it was symbolic of his commitment to create a platform for the world to appreciate Chutney Soca music.

In a statement, the promoter said he was determined to elevate the genre to new heights and provide artistes with opportunities to shine on a global stage.

The upcoming event is NSinghPro’s NYC Labour Day Carnival Boat Ride carded for September 3rd 2023.

The star-studded cast includes Neval Chatelal, Rick Ramoutar, Vanessa Ramoutar, Ranjeev Ramdeen, Anil Mr Duniya, Aaron Jewan Singh aka The Chutney Guru, Trini Iron Girl, Panhead, and DJ Shawn 9.0.

It will be hosted by Lakshmee Singh.
