A baby has been hospitalized after being hit by a stray bullet in El Socorro last night.

The T&T Guardian reports that the incident occurred around 9:50pm, with the baby subsequently being taken to hospital, where he is reportedly in a stable condition.

In another incident, the newspaper reports that a Guayaguayare man was killed early this morning.

It says around 1:40am, the wife of Carlie Hamilton was asleep when she heard gunshots at their Savannah Circular home.

She then found the victim motionless on his bed covered in blood.
