81 newly promoted police officers have been told that they are stepping into roles with greater responsibility, in light of high crime rates and a State of Emergency.
This was the message from Police Commissioner Erla Christopher as she spoke to the four new Inspectors and 77 new Sergeants.
She said their leadership, commitment and performance will be vital and urged them to embrace the promotions with renewed purpose.
President of the Police Service Social and Welfare Association, ASP Gideon Dickson, called on the officers to continue to effect positive change within the TTPS from their new ranks.
