Eight officers have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, while six have been elevated to Senior Superintendent of Police.

Commissioner of Police, Erla Harewood-Christopher, congratulated the promoted officers and reminded them of their need to “build an organisation that is competent, agile, effective, and professional”.

The new Assistant Commissioners of Police are:

• ACP Wayne Mystar
• ACP Curt Simon
• ACP Richard Smith
• ACP Andy Teewarie
• ACP Brian Soodeen
• ACP Anand Ramesar
• ACP Anthony Remy
• ACP Rishi Singh

The newly appointed Senior Superintendents are:

• Senior Superintendent Roger Alexander
• Senior Superintendent Michael Jackman
• Senior Superintendent Arlet Groome
• Senior Superintendent Brian Ramphal
• Senior Superintendent Andrew John
• Senior Superintendent Christopher Paponette

The appointments are effective immediately.
