Seven police officers will appear in court tomorrow to answer to the charge of misbehaviour in public office.

The officers reportedly executed a search warrant on November 2nd 2023 at a home in Five Rivers and found marijuana, camouflage clothing and ammunition, before arresting the home owners.

While at the police station, the male homeowner was allegedly approached by one of the officers who solicited $30,000 and five pounds of marijuana to forego charges being laid.

Following investigations into a report by the Professional Standards Bureau, the officers were arrested on November 7th.
