Adverse weather forced the closure of several ECCE, primary and secondary schools today.
The Education Ministry says this followed consultations with the TTMS and the Local Government Ministry.

The Ministry says accommodations were also made for those writing CAPE exams.
3,736 students were registered to sit CAPE Caribbean Studies across 82 schools today.
In instances where candidates were unable to reach their assigned examination centres, it says arrangements were made to accommodate them at alternative locations closer to their residences.
Additionally, candidates who experienced delays due to inclement weather and flooding were allowed to sit the exam upon arrival at their respective centres, despite being late.
Those scheduled to write the CAPE Caribbean Studies (today) and Communication Studies (tomorrow), but are affected by flooding, can apply for compassionate consideration via their principals to the CXC Local Registrar.
The Ministry says it will forward these requests to CXC for consideration.
