A 60-year-old farmer has been murdered in Tabaquite.

According to a Newsday report, police received a call yesterday about a shooting at Watts Trace, Brothers Road.

On arrival, they were told by a woman that she and her father were asleep when someone began banging on the door around 10:15pm.

When she opened the door, she found the victim, Winston Lokhan, on his knees with a gunman standing behind him.

She told officers that the man shot Lokhan and then proceeded to attack and injure her father.

The assailant then escaped.
