A 20-year-old El Dorado man was granted bail in the sums of $550,000 and $150,000 after appearing in court charged with six counts of larceny motor vehicle and two counts of larceny.
Roland Moonesar appeared before Master Shah on February 26th, with the matter adjourned to March 20th 2024.
The $550,000 bail amount stemmed from four counts of motor vehicle larceny and two counts of larceny which were transferred to the Tunapuna Magistrates’ Court, while the $150,000 bail stemmed from two counts of motor vehicle larceny which were transferred to the Arima and Tunapuna Magistrates’ Courts.
On February 19th 2024 following a stolen vehicle report in El Dorado, Emergency Response Patrol officers recovered the vehicle within minutes and held the suspect a short distance away.
Another suspect managed to escape.
The North Central Division believes this case is a major breakthrough in solving several reports of motor vehicle larceny in the Tunapuna and Arouca districts.
