A San Fernando man was granted $500,000 bail as he appeared in court charged with possession of firearm and ammunition.

D’Angelo Alleyne of Ramsaran Street appeared before a South Masters’ Court on Friday and has been ordered to reappear on November 20th 2024.

The TTPS says around 8pm on July 7th 2023, officers went to Padmore Street, Gulf View where they observed a man holding a black bag around his chest.

Upon seeing the officers, he threw the bag on the ground and ran.

The bag was found to contain a black Glock 17 pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition.

The suspect was arrested on July 16th 2024 at St Croix Road, Princes Town, with charges later laid.
